About the Artist

Candy Wertchafter was a self-taught artist born in Miami Beach in 1950. Working in abstract mixed media, she created faces filled with character and personality — sometimes with humor — "in the hope that the viewer will enjoy the outward expression of inner feelings." Her original works remain a testament to her unique artistic vision. Candy passed away in May 2005.
